Executive Director Honored by Wheeling YWCA

Elmhurst Executive Director Jamie Crow was honored by the Wheeling YWCA’s 2014 Tribute to Women in April. She was one of six women honored for their “contributions made throughout their lives to their families, workplaces, and communities.”  DSC05175

Mrs. Crow has been executive director of Elmhurst since 2006. Prior to that she served as executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Upper Ohio Valley from 1991-2006. She was director of the Outreach Program at the Florence Crittenton Home (Crittenton Services) from 1982-1991. Crow also was a child protective social worker for the WV Department of Human Services.

Currently, Crow is a member of the board of directors of the WV Assisted Living Association, an affiliate of the Assisted Living Federation of America. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Wheeling. During her tenure, Elmhurst was named the WV Assisted Living Residence of the year in 2011.

She is a 1981 graduate of West Liberty State College with a B.S. in public service with an emphasis on social work. She received a Master’s Degree in social work from West Virginia University in 1991. She holds a Level One National Administrator Certification from Senior Living University.
